Karl Szpunar Karl received his Honors B.Sc. from the University of Toronto in the spring of 2003, where he worked alongside Dr. Glenn Schellenberg and Dr. Patricia Pliner on projects related to the effects of varied exposure on liking and recognition for musical stimuli. He subsequently obtained a summer research assistantship at the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care (Rotman Research Institute) studying brain imaging research related to encoding and retrieval processes in episodic memory (Supervisor: Dr. Endel Tulving). Karl joined the Memory & Cognition Lab in the fall of 2003. Using both behavioral and neuroimaging techniques, his graduate research is focusing on processes related to memory retrieval. |
