Sean Kang

Sean received his B.Soc.Sc. (Honours) from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and thereafter worked as a research assistant at Singapore's National Institute of Education for a year.

Sean joined the Memory & Cognition Lab in the fall of 2003 as a graduate student in the Behavior, Brain, and Cognition program. His research interests are focused on applying cognitive science to education, especially how testing can enhance learning and retention, and also metacognition and strategy selection during learning. In addition, Sean is interested in the interplay of reading and memory processes in visual word recognition.
