Study Lists for McDermott
(1997, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review), Experiment 4. Each subject
studied 8 (of 16) 10-word lists. In the fragment test conditions, subjects
were tested on (A) critical items (presented in position 4 for 1/2 of
Ss, nonpresented for 1/2); (B) studied items (1 per listtaken from
various positions). None of the fragments can be completed with any other
studied item or critical item from these lists. Baserates for the fragments
for the A and B lists were normed to be approximately equal for both critical
and regular items.
